First he made a gruyere and pancetta filo tart for starters, light, crisp and delicious followed by fillet steak, oven chips and a fried egg. It sounds quite like a tv dinner but this was absolutly delicious. I can totally recomment Roosters oven chips, they tasted the best I have eaten, forget the normal press that oven chips get, as these were truly delicious!
I am looking forward to Monday when I am back in the kitchen and continuing with putting together delicious recipes for my cookbook. Tomorrow is a day of eating out, pork baps for lunch at the easter egg gathering and dinner on the way home at the local pub, but breakfast I am making wiltshire cured crispy bacon sandwiches with presedent salted butter and white bake in the oven baguettes. (Yes yes I shall put my cardiologist on speed dial for 10 minutes afterwards!)
Drinks were delicious tonight, I am hoping that I dont have a headache in the morning as Dissarono, Prosecco with strawberries and a few sips of fosters (aaarghh...from the can) are sure to go to my head as drinking is not something that I can keep up with my other half on.
